Active bodies

inspire creative minds

With over an acre of physical challenges on offer, Latitude is a giant playground for growing bodies. As blood flow to the brain increases, so does our ability to solve problems and get creative. So, let’s put that creativity to good use!

Latitude is calling all students to get creative and come up with a fresh new look for our bungee tower. Not only will the design be reproduced on our tower but the school will win Latitude for the whole day!

How do I get involved?

For your chance to win, download the competition pack for all the information you need to enter the competition, and maximise engagement across the broader school community. Latitude will award every student who's design you submit with a double pass to Latitude, just for taking part!

How It Works

Invite all students in your school to come up with a design for the bungee tower. There is no limitation to the design, but it must be an original.

Shortlist the 10 best designs from your school, and submit to Latitude using the competition entry form provided. Competition is tough so choose carefully!

Latitude will shortlist the top entries and put to a public vote. The design with the most votes wins.

The Tower & Climbing Zone

The Prize

This is the biggest and best school competition around, with two very cool prizes, valued at $11,500.

The student with the winning design will see their creation brought to life on the tower, credited with their name, age and school.

The school will win Latitude, for the whole day!

There’s no strings attached. You choose the day and we will help you get your students here. And of course, our crew will be there to ensure your school has the best day ever at Latitude!

FAQ's

The brief is to design a new look for the front of our bungee tower. The designs can be hand drawn or computer generated, and may include the use of photography.

There are no limitations to the design, but it must be an original. Designs must include only original material created by schools and students and must not use any words, art, photographs or images that are not their own.

Entry to the Competition is open to primary and secondary schools, and each school may only submit a maximum of 10 designs.

We encourage schools to run an internal competition to give all students the chance to get involved.

Once entries have been collated, you should select the 10 most creative designs and submit online for 10 chances to win.

Each school can submit a maximum of 10 designs.

Latitude will award each student whose design has been submitted by the school, a double pass to come to Latitude with a friend (maximum of 10 double passes per school).

Latitude will give a double pass to every student whose entry is shortlisted (by you) and submitted (to us).

This is a great way to reward students for their creativity, and gain recognition from their peers at the school assembly.

We are offering every school the chance to win a phenomenal prize, valued at $11,500.

You will win exclusive access to Latitude, for your students, for the whole school day (that's 5 hours of fun). The event will run from 10am-3pm, and can be tailored to meet the needs of your school.

We know buses can be expensive, so we will subsidise these too, up to the value of $3,000 GST incl.

Your school will win exclusive use of Latitude for the school day, from 10am - 2pm (inclusive of the 2pm session).

The venue will reopen to the general public at 3pm.

There are many ways to engage the broader school community. We suggest the following activities:

  • Promote the competition in the school newsletter (assets available)
  • Engage students across all year levels with regular mentions at school assembly
  • Dedicate a class to give students the opportunity to collaborate with classmates on broad themes and ideas, then work on their own designs through self-directed learning.
  • Facilitate class presentations where students can share their ideas, or work in progress, and receive praise and constructive feedback from their peers.

Latitude has developed assets for the school newsletter and social media channels to help generate awareness of this amazing competition. You can download these with the competition pack.

Each school can submit up to 10 designs maximum.

We expect the competition to be very popular, so need to limit the number of entries to 10 per school.

The final decision will be a public vote, so we encourage you to get the whole school community on-board if one of your entries is shortlisted.

Latitude is looking for a unique, imaginative design that complements the Latitude brand. Entries from all schools will be reviewed against this criteria and a shortlist created.

The shortlist will be published for a public vote to determine the winner.

Everyone, including schools and the Latitude social community, will be invited to vote for their favourite design. The design with the most votes wins.
