Terms and Conditions

  1. Instructions and guidelines for entry and other details contained within promotional advertisements for the Competition form part of the Terms and Conditions.

 

  1. By entering the Competition, schools and the students that make the designs agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.

 

  1. The Terms and Conditions of this competition are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria.

 

  1. The competition is being run by Latitude Adelaide Operations Pty Ltd (ACN 27 605 706 563) and Latitude Melbourne Operations Pty Ltd (ACN 602 016 795) (Latitude).

 

  1. The Competition commences at 15th May 2017 at 9:00am AEST.

 

  1. The closing time for entering the Competition has been extended to 31st July 2017 at 5:00pm AEST. Entries after this time will not be accepted.

 

  1. Public voting opens on 14th Aug 2017 at 9:00am AEST, and closes on 27th Aug 2017 at 11:59pm AEST. The winners will be announced on 28th Aug 2017.

 

  1. Entry to the Competition is limited to primary and secondary schools, and each school may only submit a maximum of 10 designs (Designs). Any additional Designs beyond the first 10 submitted by a school will not be accepted.

 

  1. Entry to the Competition is free. Entrants will be responsible for all costs associated with entering the Competition, which may include costs associated with accessing the internet.

 

  1. Staff employed by Latitude and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter the competition.

 

  1. There will be two prizes given. The prizes are set out below.

 

  1. The prize winners will be contacted within seven (7) days of the outcome of the public voting by the email address supplied by the entrant on the Competition entry form.

 

  1. The prizes are not redeemable for cash or an alternative prize.

 

  1. The prizes are not transferrable.

 

  1. The prize-winning schools and students’ name will be published on the Latitude website.

 

  1. By entering the Competition, schools and their students grant Latitude permission to use their full names and suburbs on its website.

 

  1. Latitude is not responsible in any manner whatsoever for any problems or any financial costs incurred, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participants or any other persons related to or resulting from participation in this Competition.

 

  1. Latitude accepts no responsibility and shall not be held legally liable or responsible for any accident, loss, injury or damage to any individual or property whether direct or indirect, whether in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise arising out of or in connection with the competition or the prize, either during or after the Competition.

 

  1. Entry into the Competition signifies acceptance of all conditions. Entrants are required to abide by the Terms and Conditions as presented.

 

  1. Latitude’s decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

 

  1. Personal information provided by an entrant to Latitude for the purpose of entering the Competition will be collected, used and disclosed in accordance with Latitude’s Privacy Policy. A copy of the Privacy Policy can be found at https://latitudeair.com/privacy-policy/.  

 

  1. By entering the Competition, each school and student is agreeing to participate in the creation of promotional material for Latitude.

 

The Designs

 

  1. By entering the Competition, schools and students are confirming that they agree to the Terms and Conditions and in particular, are effectively making a promise to Latitude (a declaration) that they have met all of their copyright obligations and that they agree to protect Latitude against all claims and disputes resulting from any failure to do so.

 

  1. Designs must include only original material created by schools and students and must not use any words, art, photographs or images that are not their own.

 

  1. Designs cannot be amended once submitted.

 

  1. The winning Designs may be edited or adapted at any time by Latitude in its absolute discretion in order to use the Design for promotional or any other purposes.

 

  1. The winning Designs will be reproduced to wrap either the tower at Latitude Melbourne or Latitude Adelaide for a period of 12 months or such other period at Latitude’s absolute discretion.

 

  1. Schools and students grant to Latitude an exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Designs in Latitude’s absolute discretion.

 

The Prizes

 

  1. Two Designs from two different schools will be selected as winners and the schools will either receive:

 

  • exclusive use of Latitude Adelaide, from 10am to 3pm on a school day approved by Latitude; or

 

  • exclusive use of Latitude Melbourne, from 10am to 3pm on a school day approved by Latitude.

 

  1. The prizes are each valued at approximately $11,500. This includes 5 hours of off-peak full venue hire, plus up to $3,000 of bus transportation costs.

 

  1. Latitude will reimburse valid bus transportation costs to the value of $3,000 GST inclusive upon the presentation of Tax Invoices evidencing the amount to be reimbursed. Reimbursement will be made within 7 business days to the bank account nominated by the winning schools.

 

  1. The winning schools may choose the date of the visit, subject to availability. The prizes must be redeemed by November 2017.

 

  1. The maximum capacity of sessions is 150 students per hour, giving the school a maximum capacity of 750 students throughout the day.

 

  1. The winning school shall be responsible for obtaining any relevant parental consents for student attendance at Latitude and indemnifies Latitude for any loss or claim, either direct or indirect, arising from student attendance at Latitude.

 

  1. All entrants from schools into the Latitude venues must accept and comply with the terms and conditions of entry for each venue.
